Users retain ownership of any content they upload to RetroTube. However, by uploading content, you grant RetroTube a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content in connection with the operation of the service.

Prohibited Content

• Content is illegal or violates intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyright, trademarks, or patents.
• Content contains pornography, explicit sexual material, or graphic depictions of violence, abuse, or physical harm.
• Content includes hate speech or promotes hostility toward individuals or groups based on protected characteristics, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or similar attributes.
• Content includes harassment, bullying, intimidation, or targeted attacks against specific individuals or groups, including encouragement of harm.
• Content promotes, supports, or justifies extremist ideologies, organizations, or individuals associated with violence, genocide, or crimes against humanity, except in neutral, educational, or critical contexts.
• Content denies, distorts, justifies, or significantly minimizes genocide, mass atrocities, or crimes against humanity.
• Content contains personal data or private information about individuals without explicit consent, including doxxing or attempts to reveal identifying information.
• Content sexualizes minors, promotes exploitation of minors, or depicts underage individuals in unsafe or inappropriate contexts.
• Content spreads false or misleading information presented as factual in a way that could cause harm, including but not limited to medical misinformation or fabricated events.
• Content promotes scams, fraud, deceptive financial schemes, or any activity intended to exploit or mislead users.
• Content uses the identity, likeness, or voice of a real person without consent in a misleading or deceptive way, including impersonation or deepfake content.
• Content promotes or provides instructions for dangerous, harmful, or illegal activities, including violence or self harm.
• Content attempts to bypass or evade these rules, including disguising or masking prohibited material.
• Content is repetitive, mass-produced, or generated at scale with little meaningful variation and is intended to spam, flood, or manipulate platform systems, including but not limited to low-effort or fully automated content with minimal human oversight.

Sensitive Content

• Content is allowed but must be flagged as sensitive. Sensitive content displays a warning to users and is not shown in general browsing feeds by default.
• This includes content that may be disturbing, sensitive, or not suitable for all audiences, including but not limited to non-graphic depictions or documentation of violence, death, disasters, or real-world tragic events.
• Uploaders are responsible for correctly flagging such content. Failure to do so may result in moderation actions.

We reserve the right to remove any content at our sole discretion, even if it does not explicitly violate these rules.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to engage in the following activities:

• Spamming, phishing, distributing malware, or engaging in unsolicited or deceptive communications.
• Using automated systems, bots, or scripts to access, scrape, or abuse the service without authorization.
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or restricted areas of the service.
• Engaging in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading practices, including impersonation or misrepresentation.
• Interfering with, disrupting, or attempting to compromise the integrity, security, or performance of the service.
• Circumventing or attempting to bypass any restrictions, safeguards, or moderation systems.

Violation of these rules may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, at the discretion of RetroTube. We reserve the right to take action at our sole discretion, even if it does not explicitly violate these rules.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

RetroTube is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the website will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

RetroTube assumes no responsibility and shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any other damages arising from the use or inability to use the website or from user-generated content.
